The Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Inc was founded in 1974 as a non-profit fraternal organization consisting of active and retired law enforcement officers who enjoy riding motorcycles. What started as several officers in Bangor, Maine has grown to nearly 19,500+ members in over 650 Chapters represented by 11 Conferences in 29 countries.
Our charitable organization has contributed over $18.8 million dollars towards various charities throughout the world since statistics were kept.
New Jersey III is a proud Chapter of the Blue Knights organization. We are one of 13 Chapters in New Jersey. Our membership consists of both active and retired Federal, State, County and Local law enforcement officers, predominantly those in the Union and Middlesex County area. Currently, we have 43 members in our Chapter. We conduct weekly rides and hold monthly meetings. Members can ride a bike of their choosing, any make, any model. We do not have prospects or probationary period for new members.
We strive to promote our organization as being a family fraternity. Spouses and children often accompany our members to the various rides and functions.
Our Pledge, “As a Blue Knight, I pledge to act with honor and pride to promote motorcycling and motorcycle safety by being an example of the safety use, operation and enjoyment of motorcycles. I will work at all times to improve the relationship between the motorcycling law enforcement community and the general public. The fraternal spirit will always guide me in relating to other Blue KNights.”
Every year, we hold our Knights in the Woods motorcycle ride and BBQ charity event. Last year’s event (2019) was a complete success thanks to all of our members, all attending Motorcycle groups/clubs, single riders, citizens and Sponsors that participated and or contributed with donations. We Thank You!
Proceeds of this event benefit The Valerie Fund, whose mission is to provide support for the comprehensive health care of children with serious illnesses.
Stay tuned for upcoming events and rides for this 2020 calendar year! Happy NEW YEAR to all !!
