Edward J. DeFelice, 71 of Palm Bay, Florida (formerly of Carteret) passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
Ed was born May 30, 1950 in the South Bronx. He was a diehard Yankee fan and enlisted in the United States Navy and spent his tour of service on the USS Lexington, stationed in Pensacola, Florida. Ed became a Carteret Police Officer in 1980 and retired in 2004. He was a member of the Blue Knights Chapter III motorcycle club and had a passion for being in the woods hunting with the F.O.E. Hunting Lodge and near a body of water fishing.
He was predeceased by his mother, Angelina Boneri; younger sister and younger brother. Surviving are his two older sisters and youngest brother; daughter, Lisa Ciezza and Raymond Lauger; son, Jonathan and his wife Jennifer DeFelice; grandchildren, Angel DeFelice, Nina Ciezza, Karl Ciezza, Natalie DeFelice, Robert DeFelice and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4pm to 6pm at CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 625 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading.
