NY-10’s Philip Cardillo Ride
Hempstead Turnpike, Bethpage, NY
United States
This is NY-X’s 9th annual Motorcycle Ride marking the anniversary of the murder of NYPD’s Ptl Philip Cardillo. This is a long ride (in terms of time) with multiple stops and ceremonies. The ride begins in Bethpage (Long Island) at the Embassy Diner (KSU @ 10am). From the diner the ride proceeds to the NYSP Barracks in Valley Stream in order to merge with other LEMC riders and supporters; and pickup an NYPD Escort (KSU @10:30 am). From the barracks the ride proceeds to Calvary Cemetery in Queens. There is a Memorial Service at the cemetery. After the cemetery the ride proceeds into Manhatten and travels past the Mosque where Ptl Cardillo was killed and then to the 28th Precinct for another Memorial Service. From the 28th Precinct the ride heads to its final destination, Miller’s Ale House for lunch. There is “NO” cost for this ride other than your own travel and lunch costs. This is an impressive ride for a good cause! Our muster point for this ride will be the Dunkin’ Donuts on US-1-N at Green St in Iselin; KSU @ 8:30 am. From there we will pickup riders in Brooklyn and ride out to Valley Stream. We will be picking up the ride at the NYSP Barracks NOT the Embassy Diner.
